White Plains Hospital Celebrates National EMS Week with LIFENETMay 20, 2010Paramedics will be able to digitally transmit EKG from the field to White Plains Hospital doctors for individuals who suffer from a serious heart attack. The new technology is called LIFENET. The City of White Plains congratulates the hospital as being the first community hospital in Westchester to use this advanced technology. It essentially reduces the time from when the patient arrives at the hospital to undergoing a life-saving angioplasty procedure. The Hospital made the announcement as it began observing National EMS Week May 16th- May 22nd.
